Gold Programme Boxing Tournament

In September the 6th class boys started training and preparing for the Gold Programme Boxing Tournament. Each Friday for four weeks the boys were trained by brilliant boxing coaches. They learned new skills, technique and fitness specific to boxing. A certain number of boys were chosen to attend the National Boxing Stadium to train and develop their boxing skills further with highly qualified and professional boxers.
At the end of the tough, challenging and intense training, four boys from MQA1 represented our school in a boxing showcase in The National Boxing Stadium. The boys did our school proud as they broadcasted their set of newly acquired skills for all to see.
A big congratulations to Fionn Kelly, Séan Lawlor, Calum McHugh and Tyler Ritchie who represented MQA1 so well at the showcase.
