Head Shave for Keilan and Caiden

As many of you know there was very upsetting news echoing around Ballyfermot and surrounding areas over Christmas time. Keilan in Mr. McGrath’s 4th class and Caiden in Mr. McDonald’s Senior Infants were unfortunately diagnosed with Leukemia.

Caiden and Keilan always approach any task with bravery and to the best of their ability so we knew that this would be no different. The school community were devastated with the news and immediately looked on how to show support and help the strong boys on their journey.

In order to raise awareness and funds it was decided that the teachers in the school would take part in a head shave. Mr. Blair, Mr. Murphy, Mr. McDonald and Mr.McGrath took part in the event on the 22nd of February.

It was a great day in which the school and wider community came together to support the families of the brave Keilan and Caiden with music from Ms. O’Connor, Mr. Blair and boys from 4th and 6th Class. The school and families are extremely grateful for all the generous donations and support. The total raised for the two boys was €9,440!
