Learning the Tin Whistle

Best-Tin-Whistles_edited.jpg

Mary Queen of Angels’ tin whistle group enjoyed performing for their families on
March 12 th , during Seachtain na Gaeilge. Hours of practising went into their concert
and all their hard work really paid off. It was a fantastic display of talent and the
reaction of the audience showed their appreciation. The concert would not have
been a success without the help of Mr. McDonald who accompanied the boys on guitar.
Boys participate in lessons after school every Tuesday. It would be lovely to see
some more boys join our tin whistle group when we start back in September. These
lessons provide a good opportunity for the children to develop their musical
performance skills and gain an understanding of traditional Irish music.
I would like to say a special thank you to all the parents of the tin whistle boys for
their support throughout the year. I hope you all have a lovely, happy summer!
Ms. Nolan
